Weekend Tint Job Lessons

Has anyone done a weekend tint job and then noticed things they would handle differently the next time? I am planning to try it on a dry day, but I want to avoid the usual beginner mistakes before I order anything or start pulling trim apart.

The main lesson from my weekend attempt was to prepare the space like the fitting matters, not just the film. I washed the car first, but I should have spent more time cleaning around the seals because dust can move back onto the glass while you work. Before fitting the rear side pieces, I laid each pre cut window tint section out in order and checked which side faced the glass. That saved confusion once my hands were wet. Next time I would start earlier in the day, take longer between panels, and keep the area around the doors cleaner.
