Why calm videos feel like a reset button

I’ve noticed that after watching calm, slow videos in the evening, my whole mood kind of resets. It’s like I’m less tense without doing anything special. But I don’t really understand why that works. Do you think it’s the content itself, or just the fact that we finally slow down?

I think it’s a combination, but the content plays a bigger role than we expect. When everything on screen is slow and predictable, your mind starts matching that pace. There’s nothing pushing you to react quickly, so you naturally расслабляешься. I’ve made it a habit to switch

to this kind of content before sleep, and it genuinely changes how I feel. No racing thoughts, no желание переключать каждую секунду. It’s almost like giving your brain a signal that the day is over. The interesting part is that even a few minutes of this can make a difference.
