How do you find 3d models from older or less popular games that aren't as well represented on the big file-sharing sites?

That’s a struggle I know too well—digging through dead forum links and hoping someone, somewhere, once ripped that one obscure enemy from a 2007 PC title. After too many dead ends, I started checking dedicated fan Discord servers and even contacting small modding communities directly; sometimes a model is just sitting in a shared drive link that never got indexed. Right in the middle of that search, I found that a solid 3d printing model can actually come from unexpected places like concept art reconstructions or extracted assets cleaned up by hobbyists. For example, Gambody has been a useful stop for me when I need reliably printable files from bigger games, but for the really niche stuff, I’ve had better luck learning basic mesh repair myself and converting old game rips into printable formats. Takes patience, but it beats relying only on the main sites.
