FNPT II Simulator (Flight & Navigation Procedures Trainer)

All above photos are from the Simulator

Tiger is able to offer you training for the Instrument Rating at a considerably lower price thanks to the introduction of our brand new FNPT II Instrument trainer. The simulator itself is an exact replica of the cockpit of an Agusta 109, with fully working switches and gauges as found in the real aircraft. This allows you the most realistic experience for training towards an Instrument Rating without the need for the real aircraft which costs considerably more per flying hour.

In fact, the simulator costs over 60% less per flight hour!
The actual aircraft (Agusta 109) would cost £1,150 + VAT per hour

The UK Civil Aviation Authority now allows 40 of the required 50 hours to be flown in the simulator due to the incredibly realistic and in-depth experience it can offer.

Our Hall of Fame is testimonial to the fact that we have an extremely high first-attempt pass rate for our Instrument Rating course!

Simulator Training Price per Hour
Simulator Time (Block of 10 hours or more) £365.00
Simulator Time (Less than 10 hours) £395.00

Pre-flight briefing
Simulated practice of a typical route
Re-validation flight + Examiner fees

Tiger Island

Recently added to the visual and radio aid database of the Tiger Helicopters A109 simulator is a newly formed island in the English Channel (EGPR). Also, an oilrig platform has been established north of Alderney enabling helicopter training in offshore oil operations to be conducted. Another new facility is a rotor collision detection system. All these new facilities make Tiger Helicopters' A109 simulator the most innovative and effective in the UK.

MCC Courses

Tiger Helicopters has been approved to conduct courses for Multi Crew Co-operation training for the JAA Syllabus. The course comprises 25 hours of ground instruction and 20 hours of simulator training. It is designed for those pilots wishing to put their first multi-crew helicopter type on their licence. Another application is for those pilots who wish to fly a single-pilot certified helicopter with 2 crew. Many multi-national companies now require that their company executives are flown in helicopters crewed by 2 pilots. The MCC course is designed to cover IFR operations by 2 crew.
